On Saturday, 25 May 2024, the U/12B netball team from Laerskool Ermelo made a remarkable impression at the Mpumalanga playoffs held in Middelburg.
Competing against some of the strongest teams in the region, the girls showcased their skill, determination, and sportsmanship, ultimately securing second place in the province.
Match Results:
- Won against Moratiseng: 9-5
- Lost to Shapeve: 7-5
- Won against Laerskool Middelburg: 14-3
- Won against Alex Mampana: 14-3
- Lost to Laerskool Lydenburg: 10-9
- Lost to Zibokwane: 14-6
The team defeated Laerskool Nelspruit 12-9 in the semi-final match in extra time. However, in the finals against Laerskool Lydenburg, they fell short with a final score of 11-6.
The U/12B team proudly finished as the second-best team in the Mpumalanga province.
The girls were led by their dedicated coaches, Ms. Sulandie Grobbelaar and Ms. Liané Prinsloo, who played an integral role in their success.
