The Msukaligwa Local Municipality has released a new load reduction schedule for Ermelo, Wesselton, Cassim Park, Khayelihle, Breyten and surrounding extensions, effective 17 to 23 November 2025.
The updated charts outline which areas may be switched off during evening peak hours as the municipality works to stabilise the network under continued strain. The schedule is rotational and applies between 16:30 and 21:00, depending on the zone.
Residents are urged to check their designated areas on the issued charts, switch off non-essential appliances during peak times, and note that technicians may adjust the schedule without prior notice for safety and grid stability.
