Rising young athlete Ulilitha Dladla of Ermelo English Primary School delivered an outstanding performance at the Provincial Primaries Athletics Championship held on 27 February, where she competed as part of the Gert Sibande Athletics Team.
In a remarkable achievement, she claimed gold in both the 100m and 150m events and broke the 100m record, dominating the track in impressive fashion.
Ulilitha was one of seven learners from Ermelo English Primary School who qualified for the Gert Sibande Athletics Team, proudly representing both her school and district at provincial level.
Her stellar performance has earned her a place in the Mpumalanga Team. She will travel to the Western Cape from 19 to 21 March to compete in the South African Athletics Championship.
Ermelo English Primary School has every reason to be proud and wishes her the very best as she prepares to compete on the national stage.
