Young Archers from ECS Aim for National Stage

Learners from Ermelo Christian School (ECS) recently showcased their talent at the Regional Archery Competition held in Barberton, where several young archers delivered impressive performances and secured places at the upcoming national competition.

Among the standout achievements was Liahne van Deventer, who claimed third place in the Girls U11 category, earning herself a well-deserved podium finish while also qualifying for the national championships.

Two more ECS learners also secured qualification for nationals. Stephanus van Deventer competed in the Boys U13 category, while Matteo Costa also qualified in the Boys U13 division, highlighting the growing strength of the school’s archery programme.

The achievements reflect the dedication, focus and hard work of the young athletes. With several learners now preparing for the national stage, the ECS archers have given their school and community plenty of reason to be proud.
