The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms affecting parts of Gauteng, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga. The warning is valid from 11:00 on Monday, 13 April 2026, until 22:59 on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.
According to the weather service, there is a high likelihood of minor impacts, particularly over the extreme southern parts of Limpopo, Gauteng, and the Mpumalanga Highveld. These storms may result in localised damage to infrastructure, informal settlements, property, vehicles, and could also affect livelihoods and livestock.
