MLM Releases Latest Reservoir Water Levels Across Msukaligwa

The Msukaligwa Local Municipality (MLM) has released its latest reservoir water level update, issued at 10:00 on May 14, 2026, showing mixed levels across several areas in the municipality. While a number of reservoirs such as Breyten, Thabo, Kwa Chibikhulu, Davel Raw, Sheepmore and Silindile are currently sitting at or near full capacity, some areas remain critically low. Southern Tower and Southern New Resident reservoirs were both recorded at just 5%, while Breyten Tower and Warburton reservoirs stood at 10%.



Other areas recorded moderate levels, including Airport at 69%, Southern at 58%, iThafa at 55%, Kwa Zanele at 60% and Sheepmore Tower at 60%. Ermelo Ext 34 was recorded at 25%, Kwa Dela New Reservoir at 21%, and Kwa Chibikhulu Tower at 43%. Residents are encouraged to continue using water sparingly, especially in areas experiencing lower reservoir levels, as the municipality continues to monitor the system.
