The Msukaligwa Local Municipality has released its latest load reduction schedule for Ermelo, Wesselton, Cassim Park, Khayelihle (Ext 11), Thusiville, Breyten and surrounding areas, effective 25 May to 31 May.
The schedule outlines rotational evening power cuts between 16:30 and 21:00 (depending on the affected area) as part of measures to manage strain on the local electricity network and reduce pressure on the power grid.
Residents are urged to check their designated areas on the published schedules, switch off non-essential appliances during peak periods, and note that technicians may adjust the schedule without prior notice for safety and network stability reasons.
