Exciting news from Laerskool JJ van der Merwe as the school’s rugby teams delivered outstanding performances at the Gert Sibande playoffs, with multiple teams being crowned champions and all four sides advancing to the quarter-finals.
The school’s O/9A, O/10A and O/11A teams were all crowned Gert Sibande Winners after impressive performances throughout the tournament, while the First Team also delivered a strong campaign to finish as Gert Sibande runners-up.
All four teams have now advanced to the quarter-finals, with the First Team set to compete on 2 June against Nelspruit Primary, while the O/9A, O/10A and O/11A teams will take to the field on 3 June at Ligbron.
