Ligbron’s boys’ hockey teams finished their league campaign on a high note after securing victories over Hoërskool Ermelo in their final fixtures of the season.

The first team claimed a hard-fought 3-1 victory after a disciplined performance at both ends of the field. A solid defensive from Ligbron restricted the Erries to a single goal, while their attackers made the most of their opportunities. Tladi Magupurotsi scored twice, with Ibrahim Jasaat adding the third goal.

Ligbron’s U16 side also delivered an impressive performance, dominating much of the contest with a 4-1 victory. Andries Burger was named Best Defender, while Wandile Gwiji earned recognition as Best Forward.

The Erries’ U14 team withdrew from the league earlier in the season, resulting in Ligbron being awarded the match points.

The results bring a successful league season to a close for Ligbron’s boys’ hockey teams, who ended their campaign with a pair of convincing victories.
