Ligbron Academy of Technology hosted its annual Mr and Miss Liggie event on Thursday, 6 August, at the Ligbron School Hall, bringing learners together for an evening of entertainment and celebration. Several titles were awarded during the event, recognising contestants for personality, photogenic qualities, ticket sales and their overall performance.
The evening also featured Nastassja Kriel as guest artist. Kriel is an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, presenter and content creator known for her creative and often humorous marketing videos on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Together with her husband, Jaco, she travels across South Africa through the JK6 initiative, visiting schools to inspire young people and encourage them to dream big. For the Liggie event, she exchanged the camera for the microphone to entertain and inspire those in attendance.
The evening concluded with the announcement of the various titleholders:

- Miss Liggie: Andisiwe Mbuli
- Mr Personality: Nihann Starbuck
- Miss Personality: Miné Botha
- 1st Prince: Barend Olivier
- 1st Princess: Helena Myburgh
- Mr Photogenic: Divan Engelbrecht
- Miss Photogenic: Michaela Dos Reis
- Best Ticket Sales: Jeanine Potgieter
- 2nd Prince: Attie Kotze
- 2nd Princess: Nomhle Mdiya
The event provided contestants with an opportunity to showcase their confidence and personalities, with R.W. Beyleveld and Andisiwe Mbuli ultimately taking the top honours as Mr and Miss Liggie 2026.
