Three people, including two tourists from Ireland, died in a multiple-vehicle collision in Mpumalanga on Wednesday afternoon, 16 September.
The collision occurred on the N4 Toll Road near Ngodwana.
According to the Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, a truck travelling on the D799 Kaapsehoop Road allegedly failed to stop at the intersection and collided with three vehicles travelling on the N4.
The vehicles involved were two light delivery vehicles (LDVs) and a sport utility vehicle (SUV).

A male and female tourist from Ireland, who were travelling in the SUV, died in the collision. The third victim was a Mozambican man who was driving one of the LDVs.
The drivers of the truck and the second LDV sustained serious injuries and were transported to Kiaat Hospital for medical treatment.
Emergency services attended the scene while investigations into the cause of the collision continued.
The road was partially closed following the crash, with motorists urged to approach the area with caution due to slow-moving traffic.
Mpumalanga MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison Jackie Macie conveyed condolences to the families of those who died and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
